Why integrated bracelets look different
On a conventional watch the case ends at two lugs and a strap begins. On an integrated design the bracelet grows out of the case: the first link is shaped to the case flank, the taper starts at the case rather than at the lug, and the polished bevel carries straight through from bezel to clasp. The result is a single continuous object, which is exactly why this format has dominated steel sports watch design for fifty years. It is also harder to build — the tolerance between case and first link is visible from a metre away, so it is one of the details we check on every assembly.
Sizing an integrated bracelet at home
The usual objection to integrated bracelets is fit: you cannot simply swap in a strap, so the bracelet has to be right. We ship every build with spare stainless-steel links, a link removal tool and a pin pusher, plus instructions. Push out a pin, add or remove a link, push the pin back — about two minutes, no jeweller, no appointment. With the supplied links the bracelet covers approximately 14–21 cm, from slim to large wrists.
How it wears
Integrated steel bracelets distribute weight along the wrist rather than concentrating it at the lugs, so a 41 mm all-steel watch that sounds heavy on paper settles quickly in practice. The trade-off is formality: an integrated steel watch is at home with a shirt, a tee or a jacket, but it will never look like a dress watch on leather, because there is no leather option. If you want one automatic that covers most of your week, this is the format to buy.
