Aftermarket, stated plainly
An aftermarket watch is built from components sourced outside any original manufacturer's supply chain and assembled by an independent builder. That is what we are. POPBUILDS is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any third-party watch manufacturer, and we do not present our builds as another brand's product. Any third-party marks that appear on individual components remain the property of their respective owners. We say this on every page because it is the single most important thing to be clear about when someone is spending €799 to €4,999.
What you get, and what you give up
You get a mechanical watch specified the way an enthusiast would specify it: solid stainless-steel case and integrated bracelet, sapphire front crystal, sapphire exhibition caseback, a Seiko NH35 automatic, and a dial you cannot buy from a mainstream brand. You get a small batch and hand assembly. What you give up is a brand name, a manufacturer warranty card and a resale market — an aftermarket build is bought to wear, not as an investment. You also give up returns: because each watch is built to order by hand, we do not accept returns, and we say so before checkout rather than after.
How we stand behind the build
Our guarantee covers the part we control: assembly. If a watch arrives damaged, or a fault is caused by the way we built it, we provide a free replacement or an appropriate remedy — contact us with your order number and photos. Every build is hand-assembled, so minor variations between individual watches occur and are part of the process. If order volume is unusually high we may extend shipping times, or cancel and refund rather than ship a build we are not happy with.
